SYP DIRECTORS

Uniquely, the SYP is totally youth-led, no major decisions are taken by anyone over the age of 26. 
The affairs of the organisation are managed by a Board of Directors (also acting as the Charity's Trustees) made up of 4 Office Bearers and our 10 Subject Committee Conveners.  The following people were elected at the AGM on 22nd June 2008 and the process of appointing them as directors of the SYP has begun.

OFFICE BEARERS

As well as the parts they play in the wider Board of SYP, the Office Bearers are also part of the SYP's Finance and Audit Committee, together with non-voting professionals.  The SYP's General Manager is the Company Secretary.

SUBJECT COMMITTEE CONVENERS

Every MSYP is a member of one of our 10 Subject Committees, each of which has a Convener, who will sit on the Board of Directors, elected by the full Parliament.  Each Committee also has a Deputy Convener elected by the Committee themselves.   Conveners are in the process of being added as Directors of Scottish Youth Parliament Ltd.
